HEYYYYY book lovers, history lovers, culture lovers---we mean you, all you who love Joan Of Arc Project...heres some amazing news about all the things our Queen is up to and how you can partake, learn, support, and revel in all the richness of our local culture:

Our 2025 Krewe de Jeanne dArc Queen Megan Holt is the Executive Director of ONE BOOK ONE NEW ORLEANS, and in honor of 2025 being the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, she selected local author E.M. Trans book Daughters of the New Year, about local (and ancient!) Vietnamese culture, told through the eyes of a Vietnamese woman living in NOLA, daughter of two Vietnamese immigrants.

Our JOAN OF ARC BOOK CLUB will be adding this book to our summer reading list so stay tuned for dates and details! We will plan to squeeze this in probably in August, between our planned June and October meetups) when Megan will be interviewing E.M. at the Historic New Orleans Collection. Details to come!!

In the meantime, check out more information about the book, Megans organization and how you can get involved. Also, save the date for her July talk w/ E.M. at Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Megan mentioned this at our monthly social this week--oh, the things you learn when you chat with our amazing krewe members!
